Kling 3.0 — explained in more detail

Kling 3.0 is the video generation model from the Chinese company Kuaishou, unveiled on February 5, 2026. The lineup covers Video 3.0, Video 3.0 Omni, Image 3.0, and Image 3.0 Omni and targets creators who want more control over AI video generation. Core improvements concern consistency, photorealistic output, an extended clip length of up to 15 seconds, and native audio generation across multiple languages, dialects, and accents.

The Omni variant is a unified multimodal model that combines text prompts, image references, and video inputs in a single generation process. An Omni upgrade on June 17, 2026 specifically strengthened the editing pipeline with stronger source fidelity and 4K editing for input and output. Kling 3.0 is a proprietary (closed) model with no open weights, led the ELO benchmark for AI video, and is valued above all for its strong price-to-performance ratio.

Example / In practice

A small studio produces a 15-second scene with spoken dialogue in several language variants without having to stitch individual clips together. Through the Omni capability, reference images can additionally be fed in so that characters and objects stay consistent across the whole sequence.

Distinction from similar terms

Against Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 positions itself as a cheaper alternative with longer clips, while Veo is the reference for native audio and all-round 4K quality. Against Runway Gen-4.5, Kling scores with multilingual audio. In terms of purpose it belongs to image and video models and generates moving sequences rather than single images.
