Meshy
Meshy is a commercial hosted platform for 3D generation from text or images. Version 6 produces production-ready assets in about a minute with PBR textures, auto-retopology and rigging, and is regarded as a versatile all-round tool.
Meshy — explained in more detail
Meshy is a commercial cloud platform that turns text prompts or images into textured 3D assets. Version 6, released on 18 January 2026, significantly improves geometry, reduces manual cleanup for characters and organic models, and delivers sharper edges and clearer silhouettes for mechanical objects.
Meshy 6 processes text prompts (up to 800 characters, any language) or images and generates production-ready assets in about a minute. Its feature set includes PBR textures, automatic retopology, a Low Poly Mode for game assets and multi-colour 3D printing, plus auto-rigging and animation. Users control geometry through topology settings, target polycount, symmetry mode and optional remeshing; output reaches up to roughly 600,000 faces. Meshy is a closed product without open weights, available via web app and API.
Example / In practice
A team that needs many props quickly for an AR scene can generate models one after another from short text prompts in Meshy 6, optimise them for mobile devices via Low Poly Mode and a target polycount, and make them animatable through auto-rigging.
Distinction from similar terms
Meshy shares the 3D-generation use case with Tripo AI and Hyper3D Rodin. While Tripo leads the arena rankings with game-ready topology and Rodin leads on detail density and photorealism, Meshy positions itself as a versatile all-round hosted tool with a broad pipeline from generation to animation. Unlike the open Microsoft TRELLIS.2, Meshy is a closed platform.
