Hyper3D Rodin

Hyper3D Rodin is a commercial 3D generation model by Deemos. Generation 2.5 turns images or text into highly detailed geometry with over 10 million polygons and 3D-native PBR textures, and is regarded as a leader in photorealism.

Hyper3D Rodin — explained in more detail

Hyper3D Rodin is a commercial 3D generation model from the vendor Deemos Technology. It is built on research awarded Best Paper at SIGGRAPH 2025. The current Generation 2.5 converts images or text into production-ready 3D models and is available in four variants along two axes: input type (image or text) and tier (Standard or Fast).

Rodin focuses on maximum geometry and detail density as well as photorealism. Raw outputs can exceed 10 million polygons; available mesh types include raw triangle meshes, quad meshes and Smart Low-Poly outputs. With Gen-2.5 texturing moved to a 3D-native approach in which colours and materials are generated directly on the model surface — delivering full-angle consistency and significantly improved PBR quality. Rodin is a closed product without open weights.

Example / In practice

A studio that needs a high-resolution hero asset for a cinematic can use Rodin Gen-2.5 to generate a model with over 10 million polygons and photorealistic PBR materials from a reference, then bake it down to a Smart Low-Poly variant for real-time use.

Distinction from similar terms

Rodin shares the 3D-generation use case with Tripo AI and Meshy. While Tripo leads the arena rankings with game-ready topology and Meshy is regarded as the all-round hosted tool, Rodin positions itself through the highest geometry and detail density and photorealism. Unlike the open Microsoft TRELLIS.2, Rodin is a closed platform.
